Fragmented Geographies
Fragmented Geographies is a series that examines the memory of places through an assemblage of urban maps, cut up, rearranged, and reinterpreted. Each fragment, extracted from its original context, becomes a floating island—a piece of territory suspended in a collective narrative that is constantly being recomposed.
This project proposes a reflection on our relationship with cities, on the way we inhabit them and the way they inhabit us. By playing with fragmentation and reinvention, these works become witnesses to a space in permanent transformation, between erasure and rebirth, between past, present, and future.
The works take the form of three-dimensional installations: some are wall-mounted, while others unfold on the floor like sculptures, engaging the viewer’s body in a physical and contemplative experience. Each invites an intimate and sensitive exploration of geography—not as a science of territory, but as a space of memory, projection, and imagination.
